Serge the Rabbit
Serge the Rabbit
It was in 1977 that the rabbit made its first appearance on the doors of metro trains to warn the young public (and their parents) of the danger of leaving their hands there. In 1986, it was redesigned for the first time and swapped its overalls for a loose jogging style very much in the spirit of that era. In 2014, a new makeover: he inherits the first name Serge in homage to the man who designed him in 1986, benefits from a new look and adopts a new, more contemporary wardrobe with jeans, t-shirt and sneakers. It now appears on other equipment (landing doors, escalators) to warn travelers of other dangers.
